Your Initial Visit

What to Expect

Dr. Gluhoski believes that a thorough assessment is a key component of a first meeting.  She will discuss the reasons you are seeking treatment, ask questions about a range of symptoms, and review your history.  She will then provide you with information about cognitive behavior therapy.  Finally, she will present you with a personalized conceptualization and treatment plan.

Because cognitive behavior therapy focuses on symptom reduction and skill acquisition, you will leave the meeting with some new coping tools to practice and begin using.

Fees and cancellation policies will be reviewed and future appointments scheduled.

Dr. Gluhoski understands that beginning therapy can be challenging.  She will try to make this experience as comfortable as possible for you.  She will ask for feedback throughout the meeting and encourage your questions as well.  An easy-going, warm working relationship is an important aspect of her therapeutic style.
